After serving our country, I recognized that my mission had not concluded but rather required a redefined objective.

In 2023, I established the Garden of Life Homeless Community to confront a critical issue I had personally observed: the vulnerability of our youth on the streets, lacking fundamental resources for survival. As a veteran, woman, and minority leader, my life has been shaped by principles of service, discipline, and resilience. I am now applying these same tenets to ensure that no young individual in our community is forced to compromise their basic needs for their dignity.

We are committed to providing more than just immediate provisions; we are equipping individuals with a “toolbox for life.” Our efforts span from immediate hygiene and clothing support to our long-term objectives of securing stable housing and offering vocational training, all aimed at transitioning youth from a state of survival to one of self-sufficiency.

With a foundation built on over seven years of service in the U.S. Army, where I specialized in intelligence operations, Larry brings a high-level analytical mindset and a disciplined approach to every project he leads. Today, I serve as the Communications Director for Garden of Life, a nonprofit committed to holistic wellness and community growth. I leverage my background in information gathering and strategic planning to amplify the organization’s voice, ensuring that vital resources and stories of transformation reach those who need them most.

As a Chief Human Resources Officer with over 20 years of experience, I’ve dedicated my career to building workplace cultures where employees feel seen, valued, and empowered to excel.
